I just installed 4 6x8 Pioneer Rev Series speakers in my girlfriend's car to match her premier h/u. The speakers kick ass! they are the best looking speaker I've seen in a while and they come with built in crossovers that are enclosed and magnet covers. They have very nice bass tones for their size and excellent highs. they can handle 60w per channel. 260w max.
thinking about possibly putting the Rev 6.5" in my car. I just bought a set of Diamond Audio 5.25 for the rear so when I get them I'll have to hear their sound quality and compare. I'll follow up with the comparison review.

i've always found Pioneer speakers to be severly under-rated by the masses and I can't figure out why, except that they are carried by walmart...

    glad you like em

I have always found pioneer to be quality stuff especially their head units. the line best buy and circuit city sells is nothing compared to the Premier line...they have exceptional quality and sound and are virtually indestructable.

Pioneer makes great products. Their Standard line is excellent sound for a tight budget. Their Premier Line is for the audiophile and will compete with the likes of high end audio equipment like MB Quartz, for a much lower price.

i figured it was a ford, 6x8 is a ford size. 97 Contour with 17k? wow!

pioneer is good depending what you want to do....i personally dont like there head units for there difficulty of use in the higher models, but they have good equalizers. there speakers are just fine. There ipod interface is horrible and they make there xm units to large IMO. Regardless they make a good product.
