OK, here we go. My first car ever was a 1978 280z. And that is the only car I dont have a picture of. :wtc: others are as follows, in no particular order: When my Z got totaled (not my fault) I got the Chrysler Conquest. I got it up to 350hp and 450TQ before I blew the engine the final time Dodge Colt - yeah, its on a dyno. it made about 50hp and about 80 tq to the wheels. :naughty:  Suburban - the family tank (currently looking for another one to replace... To Be Continued...
Continued... The PT cruiser - what a slow vehicle... but my wife likes it, so we bought it. Just sold it yesterday though. :wavey: This is the first vehicle that I bought for my wife. She loved it. She drives a stick. I traded that pathfinder in on a Celica GTS for myself.
And she got herself a POS ford escort. (yeah, I advised her against it, but she wanted to take care of it all herself...) I traded the conquest (with blown engine) for this: a 1989 mitsubishi mirage turbo. a very rare car actually. can from the factory with a 1.6 DOHC turbo engine (4g61t), FWD, and only weighed around 2400 lbs. Here's a cool pic of the celica and the conquest together. just for fun.. OK, I am done now. Sorry for the large pics.
dang starquest you had some RARE rides man. That mirage is really sweet ive never seen one like that. Glad to hear your wife can drive a stick....i made my x gf learn and she ended up buying a stick. haha
my buddy just bought a trans am very similar to that just its a earlier model and no t-tops. I have been helping him with it over the summer while he was home from school. Has a 400 in it with edelbrock 4 barrel carb, turndowns, and he just bougth a ton of stuff for it. I am gonna get him to take it to topspeed and dyno it when its done.
I dont know why, but I've always desired the cars that many people overlook... the conquest and the mirage being the two main ones... the WRX wagon being the next... When I see the same car as the one I am driving, I want it to be an occasion, not something I see every friggen day. Ya know? I think I got it from my dad when I was younger. I learned to drive stick in his 928 Porsche when I was 15. :naughty: Hey Clay, you ever jumped a bridge with that? hehehe :wiggle: When I was growing up, that was the only car I ever wanted.
just one pict of my first Subi. sold her for just under $6000 with no sterio and 101,000 miles on her. I still miss driving it. :wtc: '96 Legacy GT
well i dont have any pics but i had to drive a mazda MPV for like 2 years and then i drove a suburban for like a couple months and then i got my 03 tiburon right before graduation and now i have my STI!! whoo!
Here is my ride I bought for starting college back in 98, 1998 Honda Civic CX 3DR: picture taken at Deal's gap, Mere is driving Before I owned this, I owned: 1987 Ford Bronco (first car, drove for 2 months) 1987 Ford Mustang GT convertible (16th birthday present from grandmother, sold for CJ8) 1984 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler (drove for 1 year) 1996 Jeep Wrangler (sold just before college to get Civic) Before going to Tech in 98, I liked Jeeps, as I lived in Utah, loved taking them up to the Mountains. -- Brian
yeah secret's out i'm from tha hood....went to a private college in Conn...and now am the polished individual you see now  can't kick the 40 habit though
yea i owned 2 wranglers in my time. Had a YJ and TJ but the YJ was my favorite hands down. Nothing like ridingin a lifted jeep with the doors off and the top down man. BTW scramblers are awsome and very RARE. haha scott you were a boy in tha hood eh?
my little vetc del Sol. I bought it when I lived at the beach and then moved to Colorado with it. Only 500 were ever made in that color and only came with the DOHC engine. I sold it because I wanted a WRX and and didn't want to drive the Sol back through Kansas Yeah I autocrossed with it back then too!
:redxdance ..................they DOHC b16a1 motors were hard to find in the del sols. If you can find one now its like finding a diamond man.
I enjoyed driving it but up at altitude it was down on power. My car was the 17th car they made that year!
dang man talk about some rareness.....seems like everyone on here goes for that rarity hehe. thats how we like it.
SUPER BUMP!!! Sorry, stumbled across this thread while doing a search and decided that I needed to pay my old car a little homage 1968 Mustang Fastback GT, 302 4-barrel...god I miss this car.
thanks! I miss it alot because I worked on it so much including motor swap and 5spd swap lol can't believe I bought an automatic in the first place but I really wanted it ;P I also had a zex wet kit hooked up but never got to run it because i was having some transmission problems with it. After replacing the clutch, flywheel, clutch lines, master + slave cyilnder, the problem was still there so I sold it haha
thread is alive! haha nice rides guys.....i looked into those rx7s before the scuby but i heard horror stories. regardless they are pimp rides.
Hey I started it back up with my 68 stang, show some domestic pride (even if it is fromt he 80s) And like bigb I too looked for an RX7. Reliability was definitely a factor in not getting one. Still wish I had found one sometimes though...
I guess i might as well contribute now also. I started with a 99 Corolla VE No power anything Then I traded it for a 01 Acura MDX then MDX went for STi Then I added the Civic Hatch to the collection Then Civic for Miata Then Added a new daily driver So now its 07 Porsche 997 GT3 (Coming This Fall) 06 Camry LE 05 Subaru STi 97 Mazda Miata
I love that body style of Preludes. My sister used to have a 92 Prelude Si. That thing was awesome. I would have loved to get one and spent some $$ on mods, but I wanted something that had a warranty.
sorry no pictures but i wish i still had some pictures never had time to take those pictures, so here it goes tho.. my firstt ride was a 98 nissan sentra gxe, had a little 21/2 inch custom pipein done to it, then got it totaled on jimmy carter rd before taking the exit then i got me a 04 kia spectra limited 5 door they were not made alot of them because then 041/2 kia spectra came out and it had 4 doors only not a hatchbak i had a custom turbo, fmic, 3 inch pipeing all custom made to fit never dynoed it but it was about 230 whp or around maybe was fast for a kiaevery thing on that car was brought on www.kia-fx.com cai, etc etc etc then my exgf totalled it then i brought be a used 97 musti eclipse spyder that car broke down on me over 20 times on highways gave me too much problem so i traded it for a 03 honda accord v6 for my little bro for his bday last year and before that i got me a 02 wrx for my bday .... so in a sense this is my 4th car in less then 3 years of my driving
