I had to leave early so I missed the twin turbo 350z and Dan's car with 100 octane race gas. Anyone have the numbers for these guys?
i believe the 350 put down 400whp and dans beast put down 485 i think. i was surprised with my results. i've only got a gutted stock UP and an STI catback and I made 204 whp and 211 lb-ft, i was only expecting maybe 180 or so.
i made like 236whp and 254lb-ft... i couldve had a little more if i hadn't reset the ECU right outside topspeed to get the AM up
i was happy with my numbers, especially since i was sitting in the parking lot missing three nuts on my DP. 214whp 220lb-ft. good time meeting all the guys and thanks to everyone who helped me patch up some leaks. you can call me Mr. Leak
Yeah there were alot of subies out there It's always nice to see everyone put down good numbers. We all have to represent lol. I just love subaru's. good people and great cars
Just curious -- what did you guys find? Edit: THREE missing nuts? When we worked on it last week it looked ok from above (though we never touched the downpipe at all)... which ones went missing? Maybe we should have re-torqued everything in sight. :eek3:
Yeah hes got the stock 02 ECU....Those numbers are freakin rediculous for the mods that he has. I was sitting next to him while his car was on the dyno, and he was expecting 170 or so..... :eek3:
yeah, three nuts from the turbo to DP were missing and there were some finger tight nuts on the turbo to UP. Come install day i think I'm going to have to fix everything and do it right. You gonna be there moose????
Holy crap, dude, guess we should have checked everything else in addition to what we fixed. I'll probably make install day and will give you a hand redoing the whole thing. Curious -- did our uppipe-to-manifold fix still work, or did that leak too?
Here is a picture of my results: The picture isn't too good, since I used my digital camera to take a picture of the printout. Anyone know if we can get the pictures from TS? -- Brian
Yeah, it is my s2k, with an AEM V2 air intake. I was suprised how loud it sounded on the dyno when the VTEC kicked in. -- Brian
281whp and 306ftlbs. lower than I expected and lower than they were at SOG a month back.......... I still love my wagon
Those numbers are absolutley fine, and you will ALWAYS make lower numbers at topseed then SOG becuase of the different dynos.
rollers read entirely differently than the on axel dynos (ie TS vs SoG). Alex's 02 was amazing! It seemed everyone who dyno'd earlier in the day when the weather was different was putting down numbers a bit lower than those towards the evening. Humidity and temp change seemed to throw a wrench into the mix.
Topspeed corrects their numbers so weather shouldnt make TOO much of a difference, albeit it cant correct 100% accurately in all conditions...but still numbers shouldnt be to far off.
Dynojets usually read HIGHER than a Dynapak. The horsepower numbers are fine for 17 pounds of boost, but the torque should be about 15ftlbs higher
I was only there a couple hours yet did not see any printouts being handed out. Thus, I don't have squat.
This dyno day I had 327hp and 346tq. The last one I pulled 276hp and 303tq If the trend holds I should be at 375hp 400tq at the next one
Jason, I owe you another ride lol. Thursday when I gave you a ride. I knew something felt a little off. I had a boost leak and wasn't boosting more than about 13 psi.. I owe you a ride in the real thing lol
I only have a cat-back and an intake. Nothing else. HP is 276 at the crank or flywheel. I ordered the downpipe so that might increase it a little. Until I get engine management (ECUtek, AEM, Hydra) my numbers won't look as good. I beleive stock STi's run about WHP 246.
