Just curious how much the STI top mounts are going for now-a-days. I dont want to know who you got yours from or whatever... I just dont want to get ripped off. Its a top mount with the y-pipe. Thanks.
i know blueline scooby has one for sale right now, i dont remember what he wants for it, i think its like 285 or something, look for his for sale thread
roughly 300 is the going price with y pipe. you might find one cheaper but be for sure there there is a y pipe involved.
Definitely. Not having the Y-pipe = pain in teh arse. Oh, and I needed gaskets for both the BOV and the Y-pipe connection (back of IC). SOG had them in stock.
as everyone else has stated, roughly 300, but if you find a really good deal on one with out a y pipe, have the samco blue silicon y pipe that will make the sti tmic bolt right on to a wrx
I've seen a little gain with mine. And I think once I get the right hood scoop internals I'll see even more. The Prodrive Y-pipe will not work without modification as a side note.
i wanna get me a sti top mount, but i'm waiting for ill-wrx to give me his when he upgrades his top mount.. he he well not give but u know like pay whatever he asks depends.. 2 anyway.. anyways well.. i was thinking about 2 intercoolers top mount and front mount..
Yup, two intercoolers is definatly the way to go. Back when i had my civic i actually had 3 intercoolers. A top mount, front mount, and side mount. Some people even thought i had four intercoolers (Silly Ricers), but it was only my other side mount intake, that looks like an intercooler. Man i used to hate it when id pop my cowl hood and people would be like, "OOO shiiiiiiiiiiiat dawwwg, you got dem four intercoolers yooo." and i would just shrug and be thinking the whole time STFU you stupid ricer and simply admire this super rare piece of cooling perfection.
yea man, its a cold air intake that has piping that runs it to where it mounts right in the front grill. looks like an intercooler, but only an intake= interfooler
I'd recommend a roof- or rear mount. The piping will be a little longer, but you have a lot more space for one. My old company makes evaporator coils; you could probably get approx a 6 foot by 4 foot by 2 foot one and strap to your car if you have roof rails... it might take a few minutes to spool but it should cool real well, and maybe you can add water misting to it too! PS: if it rains you don't even need the misting
