On the drive to Charleston this weekend the keyhole housing on my driver's door handle came loose and is resessed into the door.

The door still locks and unlocks with the remote, and the handle still functions properly.

Does anyone know how to get into the drivers door so i can fix this???

Taking off the interior portion of the door is fairly easy, but I am not sure if you will be able to access the locking mechanism from there....

three screws at the bottom of the door panal. 1 screw in the cup you pull the door shut with and 1 screw in the cup behind the door handle (inside). otherwise there are some pop clips that hold the door panal on. starting at the bottom pull the door panal away from the door once all the clips are loose lift the panal off the window sill. having the window down makes it easier to remove and reinstall.

I would jsut pull the inside off and reach up there. It should be possible.

thanks guys, i'm gonna try and work on it this weekend. i'm thinking that the bolt holding it in place came loose. Cause when driving, i heard a noise sounding like one falling.
