    it really would be interesting to see how they would do if they made them to order, ala lambo.

    that would kick ass, i'd get one (after i won the lottery)

    I wonder how much it would have cost if it was going into production. I really doubt that thing would cost much more than 50K considering most exotics have engines and transmissions that cost upwards of 10K each.

    A reasonable price for a car comes from mass production. If they aren't making 5,000+ it won't be cheap.

    Comes down to the bean crunchers. I'd like to see their actual #'s sometime.

    How big is market for this car at this price
    Divide development cost across number selling
    Play with price vs features/manuf. costs/expected profit

    If STi's didn't come w/ sodium filled exhaust valves, you know how much that would cost!?

    they only made 5000 or so if the original 04 sti, and it was <40k. So why cant this be under 40k? :D
