Any Prodrive junkies out there? I need some help. The buyer of my previous car contacted me and was asking about the piping dimensions of the Prodrive dp, mid and axle back. I searched NASIOC and Prodrive's website (which is useless...sorry, did I say that out loud?!?) and didn't come up with anything. I believe the axleback is 2.5". Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    thanks for the help man!

Reason I was wondering is because I'm looking to swap out the exhaust with a helix catback, and I wasn't sure if it would work with the prodrive dp. Can anyone confirm this? I believe the helix system is 3", but I think it tapers down to 2.5" at the downpipe?

The Prodrive uses the same gaskets as the stock exhaust. So if it will bolt up to the stock downpipe it will bolt up to the Prodrive.

2.5" all the way through. No idea on the helix, but I would doubt it tapers to 2.5". Most of these companies pride themselves on the full 3"+ out :D

The PD is definately 2.5", no idea if it is bellmouth or not.

Besides, 2.5" is great! Its quiet, its good for 450whps or so (STi) and it isnt jdm fast-n-furious angled tips :D

thanks for the help guys. If the helix system does end up working with the prodrive dp, will the increase from 2.5" to 3" piping cause any problems? Right now, its using a prodrive stage 3 map...and I'm curious if the increase in exhaust air flow will mess with anything?

No worries Kevin. Glad you found your way over here. ;)

If you swap out the Prodrive stuff, post it the up here for sale...I'm sure they'll be some takers.

enjoyed the prodrive stuff...customer service is lacking, but the parts are top notch.

Itd be nice if they ever made the 3" STi version they've been promising for 3 years now.

Yeah...that would be nice! They've certainly been known to make promises on products that take them a few years to get it out.

I mean, hell, I could prob have an exhaust shop do it for me to "prodrive" spec and be quite happy with it.

Prodrive engineers are the biggest perfectionist I have ever seen. It will take them forever to get anything out.
