Gray plug with 10mm hose connected to it and an elect. connector on other end that is on the inlet tract (intake) to the turbo. 2" before the turbo.

The 10mm hose goes to the crankcase

What does this gray plug do - looks like some sort of solenoid
and when does it get activated if its a solenoid. or it a sensor ?

I've seen a grey plug before on the top of the rear diff. Its called a breather, not sure if this is the same thing as I am not looking under my hood.

Its the ejection control solenoid. If you unplug it, the engine will be ejected from the car the next time you hit 88 mph.

You can remove it and use just a tee to connect the other ends. Take a metal clip and complete the circuit on it. Will told me to do that with my FMIC install.

its really dumb. just pull the male end out of the peice on the inlet pipe (grey part) and insert it intothe connector on the engine harness side.
