Hello guys, I guess this is where to put this up. I turned on my car on sat night and the brake light and the battery light started blinking, I thought it was the alternator so I turned off the radio and as much lights as I could so I could make it home with the battery power, next morning I turn on the car and it starts right up no problem, I disconnect the battery and it kept running no problem, turned on the lights and the radio and it kept running. and now it still cranks up and runs but the brake and battery lights are on all the time, please help, thanks for any input.
Well damn i cant even make up a reason why that would happen excpet there something blocking the e brake from going all the way down. and the battery light could maybe be the termals need to be cleaned
I actually had something similar happen to me this summer. I was in downtown Atlanta, I had the a/c on full and the stereo going. I was stopped at a light and all of a sudden, my rpms dropped really low, my stereo turned off, and my ABS light came on. It happened twice within a couple minutes. I checked with an AP and it didn't throw a cel. I took it to SUbaru the next day and they found nothing wrong with it. It's been running fine ever since. Some kind of power hiccup I guess.
happned to me all my gauges died along with AC radio and anythign electric.. i floored the car and it barely moved then suddley came back to lfe.. ABS started to flash i turnd it off and it wouldnt turn back on.. turned out to be a bad alternater and battery thsi was when my car was less than 2 weeks old
well it turns out that the battery terminals were dirty and so was the conection to the alternator, I cleaned it and it is back to normal, actually I think its getting a little more juice from the alternator.
