i had a little bit of a problem on my current wrx with them, just sray any kinda aerosol on them and they will come right off, you can almost watch the color change from the musty brownish back to a lighter color then they will come right off

like they said a few coats of any aerosol lubracant will do. those bolts swell and shrink so much that they get tight. bottom one closest to the drivers side is a real nuckle buster!

PB Blaster is pretty awesome for this. Also, leverage is your friend -- use it if you have room!

when installing my dp i couldnt get the stocker off. i was on a step stool literally kicking the wrench while my friend held it on the bolt. needless to say i have a couple dents in my passenger fender after that install. btw, the kicking didnt work.

Your problem is that you are spraying with the aersol, you must soak on the subarus :)

Invest in a cheater bar and a decent pipe to hook it to. Just make sure you get them down tight, they will back off.

My advice would be to torque 'em to spec... they won't back off and you also won't overtighten and cause leaks.

If your dp has a divorced waste gate pipe some of the bolts on the bottom are unreachable with a torque wrench. You have to use a simple open ended wrench, so its difficult to torque to spec. You can use some loctite, but the temps are normally way to high for them to be effective.
