ok well as ive dicussed many times over....... im still confused... im getting a vf39...... would it increse my power any if i were to just put the turbo on and get EM vs. the stock turbo with EM cause im not sure if i want to shell out an extra grand for supporting mods.............. becasue well im looking for this car to be my DailyDriver also....

once again sorry for the confusion and any adivce would be great!

i dunno if u can run the VF39 without upgrading the injectors at least

well, alright so if i get the pinks... would that be it?

i guess u could modify the stockers for cheaper than the pinks... but i dunno of anyone who has installed a bigger turbo with everything else stock... u will make more power than the stocker but i dunno if the power gains will be as noticable as the increase in lag

the vf39 is MUCH bigger than the TD04... its almost as big as the vf34... it will spool much slower on a 2.0 WRX... i would expect peak torque somewhere around ~3700+ rpm WITH supporting mods (IC, TBE, up pipe, injectors)...

those are the modified injectors i was talking about... they seem to work well on some of the cars i have seen... however i have heard they have some idling issues

ah, well now didnt even realize that.. as you know i have a TBE/ up(soon to be installed)

so i mean back to the main question... will it give me more power than just a EM reflash

Stick with stock turbo. You can buy the supporting mods for your stock turbo as well. It doesn't hurt to have overkill. Then once you get bored with the stock turbo, you are already setup to drop in a larger turbo.

Pinks, Walhboro, intercooler, and Cobb would be enough for close to ~280 at the crank. When its time for a bigger turbo, don't waste your money on the VF39 there are better IHI turbos out there that spool faster with similar power gains.

sorry, i thought your exhaust was stock... with full exhaust (TBE + up pipe), injectors and tuning i would expect the vf39 to put out ~265+ whp, ~265+ wtq... the stock turbo with the same mods (without the injectors of course), i'd expect ~230 whp, ~240 wtq

dont quote me on those numbers... those are my best guesses and will depend on the tune, particular dyno, weather, etc... if anyone has more accurate numbers, please post them up

ah darn i was looking for something like 300 crank.. due to the 4eats 70% power ratio

This is a best case scenario. This car made a touch more than I expected, but here it is:

VF39, STI TMIC, Modified stock Injectors (pinks would have better idle, no change in power), Perrin Inlet. Obviously UP and TBE.

Personally I think using modified stockers will be overkill. Dont they flow around 800cc after being modded?

the weppage i posted has them for 565 CC all the way up to 720

in addition to that milo i wouldnt get ANYYYY where near those numbers with my auto.....

plussssss i was refering to clems numbers of 280 crank.. which leaves me UNDER 200 whp

lol one more last thing... as clem was saying suppoting mods without bigger turbo........ is that "unheathy" for the car?
