  1. Does anyone know how to activate the shock sensor on a 2006 wrx? .Bought it and installed it. then read directions when it did not work no matter how hard I banged on the car.I know that the dealer can do it but it will prob cost as much as the sensor.I even have access to a couple of good scan tools but no subee stuff.:

Is this an aftermarket alarm? Didn't know the stock one included an impact sensor. Usually there is a gain control on the sensor itself where you can adjust the sensitivity, at least with all the Aftermarket ones I have ever dealt with.

  3. It is the factory. It did not come with a shock sensor so I ordered/picked one up at the dealer(Troncalli).I installed it (easy) and then went from there. When I installed one on my 04 that was it. it woked immediately.
On this one you have to go in on the scan tool and turn it on ..at least I think that is what the directions are implying. It was that way when I worked at Lexus.Just trying not to spend more $$.

  5. Okay so I figured out that it must be activated by a factory scan tool. SOG wants 100$ to do a 1 hour charge for what should take 5 minutes. If any one is interested in a shock sensor for a 2006 wrx or possibly Forrester.Paid 70$+/-.If your 2006 wrx did not list it as an installed option than you do not have it.
