Are rear calipers off of a 2001 legacy the same as off a wrx. Single piston sliding. I purchased used H6 brackets off of ebay and I was surprised to receive the brackets still attached to calipers. I am not planing to change out my rear caliper so I thought I would try and identify the caliper so I can sell it. Since my caliper will bolt up to the legacy bracket and use a legacy rotor I would imagine they are the same. Am I right?

I know the H6 conversion will work. The thing is now I have a second set of calipers that may or may not be WRX calipers. If they are the I will attach the wrx brackets and sell them with the stock size rotors as a upgrade to some other subaru like a 2000 2.5 RS. So the question I need answered is are the 2001 legacy calipers the same as 02-03 wrx calipers?

Great thanks. Since you have a 2.5 RS would you know if these will bolt on to your car and be an upgrade? Would you need a new backing plate? I am going to try and sell them here and on NASIOC. If I can cover some of the cost of my upgrade that would be great.

They are actually the same calipers. Wouldn't be an upgrade to anyone unless they were specifically looking for calipers to convert to rear disks.
