I am not sure what this forum is turning into, but banning a supporting member for asking for a little fair treatment seems to be a bit much to me. 2pt5RS recently banned me for 24 hours because I asked him to edit a post. To make a long story short, nicad put a words in my mouth in the form of the quote feature. I then did the same. 2pt5RS edited my post saying that I could not put words in other people's mouth. All I asked for is that the same be done for nicad's post where he did the exact same thing. EJ20 thread, post #11. He refused and banned me when I asked him why he would not do it and asked him a couple times (in PM format) that there be fair treatment. I was not mean about it or anything else, then he threatened me to drop it. I won't be threatened by anyone, especially over the internet. I told him that I did not feel that it was fair and that the site was losing my support. In exchange I was banned for 24 hours. It was a childish response. Long story short, when my renewal for support comes up I really don't think it is worth my money to support a place that picks sides and does not support fair treatment of all parties. To me it is just ludicrous that the same rules do not apply to all parties. I guess maybe they are friends or something or he just did not like the opposing view I was taking on the subject. Either way, it lost my support. So I just wanted to let other supporting members know why it was I chose to not renew my support.
yeah, sorry you feel that way also. I think it's just a misunderstanding thats all...shit happens...We all had it happen to us at some point. Plus you really don't need to explain everything...we know what was said...and to my understanding the issue is dead and moved on..
I have never been banned from any site ever. I was just asking for equal treatment under the law so to speak. And I got banned for that. Someone was on a power trip that day and I don't deal well with people that like to abuse their power. I didn't deal with it as a police officer when other officers did it and I surely am not going to deal with it from someone on an internet bulletin board where I am trying to help out and share information with other members. Not everyone knows everything that was said, as it was ALL behind closed doors through pms. I can post it if you would like though.
Ya just sucks that since he is rockband buddies with someone he does not apply the same rules to them as well.
Umm...you do realize that all the mods read the thread, and saw the PM exchange between you and 2pt5rs, right? Don't act so innocent here...
I am willing to put it out on the table for EVERYONE to see, not just the mods. The fact is that if you are going to have rules, they must be uniformly applied to everyone, not just to some people, but ignoring it for your friends.
I just wanted to thank wrxin8or for finally ending the one point of contention. He edited the post where nicad put words in my mouth. That was all I asked to be done. I do appreciate it.
