Recirc Valve Questions

Recirc Valve Questions (updated w/pics)

Upgrading to an aftermarket recirc valve and had a few questions:

1) Where do I get another gasket for where it meets with intercooler?

2) with perrin turbo inlet tube, Where do you connect the recirculating hose?

3) Is it difficult to install new recirculating tube ? ...(perrin), the oem is no longer available....

We'll from what I know, You need to order the gasket through Subaru first then the recirculating hose connects to the turbo inlet pipe down by the turbo can be diffucult to install.

 

yeah does anyone have a pic of exactly where the hose connects to inlet, and or any tips for installing this?

 

You have to take the intercooler off to get to the front of the turbo. The Recirc hose connects to the turbo inlet hose that is on the turbo and goes up to your intake. It is right in front of the turbo.

 

that's what i figured...just wondering how much of a PITA that is

 

it was a PITA IMO man i replaced mine with a greddy type RS recirc bov and i did some work to the recirc tube on my perrin inlet, it was a total pain but the car runs good.

which one did you get scott?

2. I put a plug in the hole where it normally goes.

3, Yes, its a PITA.

Scott, I have a hose at my house, and I have a few extra gaskets. I think I might have the coupler as well. Shoot me a PM.

ok so with some research this is what I need:


unfortunately there's just a plug there now...no place to connect the recirc hose...called SOG and Topspeed...no dice...Will said he might have the peice but need to get it for sure and he's really tied up right now... :wtc:

unfortunately I wasn't the one messing with it.....I guess that's my lesson :hsnono:

 

i actually have that piece sitting at my house. My buddies 03 does not use the recirc.
