My 2.5 year old nephew suffered trauma to his eardrum and my sister is having a hard time finding somebody to see him over the weekend. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

May be a bit ways out but my girlfriend works at an ENT Doctors office in Duluth, GA
    Dr. Christopher J. Lee
Just a heads up but they have a upfront $120 fee to see him if you dont have insurance

Checked with DR. Lee's office and he has no openings this weekend. We weren't really expecting to find much, though. The nephew is currently running a 103 fever and the DR today said that he has a viral infection that could be related to his ear.

So here's the situation. A few days ago my BIL took my nephew into an ENT specialist because his ear was red and irritated. The DR. (complete bitch and in a hurry) said there was no ear infection but some irritation and lots of wax build up. She stabbed around in his ear with a curette while my BIL held him down screaming and crying. His ear began bleeding so she stopped. They left without any suggestions for treatment or a prescription.

The next day, there was a good bit of gelatinous blood in his ear and as a precautionary measure, my BIL took my nephew to a minute clinic that said he had severe trauma to his eardrum. They said the previous DR should've either treated the wax/irritation with a solution or taken him into the OR and used local anesthetic. The DR should not have used a curette without some type of anesthetic (given his age?). The fact that the DR requested that my BIL hold him down should've been the first clue that it wasn't a good idea to take a pointy metal tool to his ear. The minute clinic suggested that they take him immediately to urgent care.

Enroute to CHOA, my BIL called the first DR's office back explaining the situation. He spoke with another DR that attempted to cover for the one that saw my nephew, saying something along the lines of, "we're looking at the paperwork and our records indicate that he had an ear infection... so that is likely the cause of the trauma"... even though the DR said there was no infection present and sent them off without any prescriptions or suggestions for treatment.

CHOA confirmed there was a considerable amount of trauma to his eardrum that would likely require surgery and sent them home with two antibiotics and Loritab. That was Friday.

Now, they are having a hard time finding a professional that is willing to make a report that the trauma is too severe to have been caused by an infection.
