What is involved in making the HVAC lights red, bulb condoms or LED replacement? I have a double DIN TV, so I just need the three red knobs to be red. Its an 06' by the way

Cool man, thanks. So it is just the bulb condoms for the HVAC?

There are also replacement LED's that supposedly look better and are a bit brighter. Will look for a link....there is a link to it in one of the gauge threads.

Did not know you as Greg, hehe, the James kinda sticks out more. He was a nice guy though. We sat and talked as long as was practical since I was working.

I vaguely remember that it might be a slightly different process for the new center console. I have not taken one apart so I cannot really say. Good luck though.

I was considering it actually. I can look around and we can try and do your hvac if you'd like :)

condoms won't work, the LED's in the HVAC are imbedded and very small, if you even put some sort of red film over it, it will not be bright enough to penetrate the green film on the knobs. You will have to solder in new red LEDs, and it will be a pain just b/c there's barely any room in there. You'll definitely have to use the dremel to the max to make some room.

definitely was. It took me a good 2-3 hours just to put in 3 LEDs.

I usually free on the weekend, exept this one. I'm doing that car show Sat. and the mountain run Sun.
