Remember to catch the Indy 500 tomorrow at 12:00. Catch it on any TV that works. Cable, satellite, nothing... whatever's there. This years race is gonna be huge. :wiggle: http://www.indycar.com/
Not much of a motorsports fan huh? I guess you could probably catch a basketball game or watch Fox news instead.
ummm driving in circles... so much fun. while it does take an exterme level of talent and commitment, i rather watch racecars drive on road course with something other than left hand turns; or rally cars driving down courses with only verbal instructions from their navigators. or even better i rather be racing my own car than watching.
I live for motorsports, grew up watching the Indy 500, CART, Formula One... Oval racing to me is boring, and when you add open wheel cars to the mix, not only is it boring, but dangerous. Tony George has ruined open wheel racing in this country, and continues to do so. The only race on this weekend is the Monaco Gran Prix.
Ok. But the thing is, some of the greatest racers to ever grace a track have driven in the 500 and there is no denying that it is a great race. You don't have to sell me on what's cool about rally's or road racing events, because after all. I did buy a Subaru. I've been a rally fan for longer than I can remember. And don't get me wrong about F1. It's badass, but I'd rather watch the Speed World Challenge at Mid-Ohio if road racing is what I want.
Hmm. Sam Hornish Jr won it...... Marco Andretti 2nd, Micheal Andretti 3rd, Danika Patrick was 8th.... I was hoping she'd do better but she's still young.
watched the first half hour then had to head out, but sucked for those guys that crashed in the 4th lap.
Yeah, our seats were right on turn 4. All of the action the whole race occurred right along turn 4 and the main straight. Great race, none of the drivers had raced in conditions like that all month. A father-son 1-2 finish would have been pretty cool but I was figuring Hornish was going to win, he was blazing on friday during the practice session. I'd love to see all of you haters racing around going 220mph on a 125 degree track for that long.
