Ok so I know this topic has been addressed countless times and a simple search brings up a ton of info. However, something doesn't quite add up. Im running a VF39 on my 03 WRX (Cobb OTS Map) and not quite hitting target boost. I currently have the TD04 restrictor pill, which the orifice is measured at .047". The correct pill that comes in the 04-06 STi's is measured at .043".

    That info sourced from here

My question is this, if the correct pill size for the VF39 has a smaller orifice, why would I be drilling the TD04 pill, essentially moving in the opposite direction of what the VF39 comes with from the factory? I like to understand what I do to my vehicle rather than just drill the pill out because someone told me that's what needs to be done.

I need to know if I should drill my pill or go buy the correct pill from the dealer, because they wont be the same size.
