It's Ben! anyway, I want as much tire as possible w/ 18's. The Prodrives are supposed to be 1.2" (from the site). Other springs were 1.5-1.8" in the front.

I just dont wanna buy springs and they are too low or too high.....damn i sound dumb...

I would definitely suggest the 40's for the aspect ratio. So you don't have your speedo go crazy because of the wheel diameter.

Does most of that info hold true for WRX's?

yep, i tend to hang around this board also...

as to too low or too high, i know exactly what you mean. you remember how low my car was when i first bought it. (i couldn't put my fingers between the tire and the fender, for those that don't know)
since then i have raised it to 14.5 from center of hub to fender in the front and 13.5 in the rear. this seems to work really well, it definatly handles better. i am not sure what the difference is from stock though.

You could consider rolling your fenders, that will open your options substantially :)

I have 18x8 with 225/40/18's on there and it does not rub much, but you can see a spot on the inner fender area when it has rubbed a couple times. I have Eibach springs which are 1.5 in front and 1.2 in the rear. I would recommend shocks too, not just springs from my personal experience. You will pay more for either the 225/45's or the 235/40's. Weird tire sizes cost significantly more.

Whats the point of having the 18x8 unless you are going to run the 235. Like Alex said, roll the fenders, or better yet, I can show you how to cut them so nobody ever knows. I am sure most of the problem will just be the rears depending on what alignment you opt for.
