Road Atlanta March 17th and 18th

I didn't want to post this in the regular forum because I don't really want everybody showing up it too crazy with a bunch of people. Anyway, Scott and myself will be at Road Atlanta with NASA and we are hoping to snag the class track record for Road A too. It would be awesome to have some of you guys there, hopefully we will be running in two sessions so there might be a chance for a few ride alongs.

I have friends in town that weekend. I'll try to convince them to make it out to RA. Any details on tickets, times, etc?

 

admission is free just tell them you are crew for me.

We had a 3 car caravan going last time - left early, stopped for breakfast, etc. Good times. Always down for a caravan.

My buddy Ron is up there in his Supra he said there is no traction right now.

I might make it out there tommrow but I doubt it.

Your running 1:06 at RA...?! When I worked corners there, the fasted time that i clocked was 1:07 flat, and that was the new Penske Porsche LMP2 when they were testing for Petit...

 

matt can run 1.06 at RA... while in reverse... and standing on the brakes the whole time

 

Yeah, my buddies that were out there yesterday (snakecharmer) said it was VERY slick indeed.
The viper that puked oil all down the back straight didn't help things either.

 

I hope that doesn't hurt the track in the long run seeing as how its still curring

My bad...so what happens when the oil filter of a Viper comes loose on the back straight, sprays oil under the car and rear bumper and touches those hot side pipes? It was described as a giant fireball that shot 6 feet off the back of the car. We only witnessed the aftermath - a nicely charred bumper. All in a days work, I guess.

 

I will probably be headed up tomorrow. Where is everyone meeting at?
