First week is going really well, thanks for asking! I'm now a pledge at Sigma Alpha Epsilon and these first 2 weeks have been a blast! Classes aren't as hard as people say they are, but I'm guessing that will change soon. Calc 1 is ok cuz I took it in HS, they've just added in pointless proofs to prove crap like epsilons and delta's. German I have to study vocab for, English we don't do anything, and CS1371 with matlab isn't even a real programming language so that isn't bad either . I'm heading to Auburn Friday as well! Craig
awesome craig. Yeah, classes get harder after a month or two... esp after drop day. Funny how the difficulty increases as your ability to drop it decreases..... Glad you're liking everything so far though.
here's one more thing i noticed as an undergrad... there are hot chicks in and around the student center only during the first week of school... then they all disappear... i think tech hires them to walk around until registration closes and u can't ask for a refund
No then they all get sucked into sorority rush. It seems like 80-90% of the decent girls here go off and join sororities and then you never see them again.
I get to see them all the time . The sororities like our fraternity so the girls are always coming around randomly to hang out! Craig
SAE And I dont get a "I saw alex in the book store" thread? :crying: Like I said yesterday, if you need any help with anything lemme know. Glad its going well.
hey don't knock MATLAB, you have to use the crap out of it in Electrical Engineering courses esp. DSP, and it makes a nifty calculator :bigthumb: Perfect example of tech party last weekend, Alpha Xi house down the street from us threw their annual "Sausage Fest *insert year*" party, where they invite every fraternity on campus to come by with a keg and meet the new pledge class. Turns out though, the 5 occupants of the house and the 10 pledges are the only girls there among 150 fraternity men defending their precious kegs. Quite the Lame. Our house party 2 weeks from now, if anything like our previous ones will be a little more even, i'd say 60/40, maybe approaching 50/50 if lucky!
