    Project Materials

Upper and Lower Dash Assembly. The upper dash is trimmed in Alcantara® and features two double-stitched vibrant green seams, the first spanning from far left to far right while the second encompassing the dash center. A portion of the center dash utilizes perforated Alcantara® to create a textural difference. Each kidney or dash side cap is finished in bright colored leather to create an eye-catching introduction upon opening either front door.

Front Seats. Attention is paid to the original seating surface as created by Hyundai. Bright colored leather accents are added to produce additional depth to the original design. A leather chevron is integrated into the seat upper to capture the V-shaped lines present through the original interior. The JPM COACHWORKS logo is embroidered into the front upper of each seat in a combination of green and nickel threads. The rears of each seat are finished in leather. Finally, the inner and outer edge of each seat bolster is finished with vibrant green double-stitched seams to mimic the fender accents of the original ARK concept sketch.

Steering Wheel & Sun Visors. The steering wheel features a combination of Alcantara® and leather. The wheel is hand-stitched using a heavy weight UV treated jet black thread. Vibrant green thread is used on the inner edges of the steering wheel cover. The sun visors are treated similarly; built from Alcantara® and hand-stitched. The original hardware is retained to give each piece a factory finish. Additional information on these items may also be found on our product catalog at Hyundai Veloster OEM Custom Steering Wheel (Core Swap) and Hand-Stitched Sun Visors Replacement Covers (Pair).

Front Door Panels. Attention is focused on the center panel insert as well as the door panel armrest. A vibrant green double stitch runs from the door panel rear to the door panel control trim front and serves to separate the perforated Alcantara® lower from the solid Alcantara® upper panel insert. Leather is used on each armrest to create a soft, comfortable appeal. Additionally, each armrest is completed with a double-stitched seam of vibrant green thread. Finally, it is worth noting that original design plans had included the covering additional portions of the door panel. These plans were scrapped due to time constraints.

Center Console Assembly, “Knee Pads”, Center Armrest, Shift Boot & Shift Knob. The design of the center armrest is modified to ensure continuity between the front seats and itself. The armrest is trimmed with a combination of Alcantara® and leather and features a vibrant green double-stitched seam. The side panels of the center console assembly are wrapped with Alcantara® while the upper console assembly remains plastic, creating a pleasant textural transition to the shift boot. The shift boot and shift knob are trimmed equally from Alcantara® and feature double-stitched seams. Additional information on these items may also be found on our product catalog at Hyundai Veloster Shift Knob, 6MT Shift Boot and Center Console Lid Cover (Armrest).

Rear Seat Delete, Subwoofer Enclosure, Amplifier Rack and “Rallye” Spare Tire Enclosure. The rear seat is removed and replaced with a fabricated assembly consisting of custom cut angled MDF pieces wrapped in a combination of Alcantara® and leather. The speakers and amplifier are provided by Image Dynamics while a “full-sized spare” Advan wheel + tire finds itself at home in the rear hatch compartment. The spare tire enclosure is fabricated from MDF and trimmed with Alcantara®. Finally, an acrylic window is installed to protect the amplifiers.

Maybe here or there, nothing major. I think we did a set of seats for a C5? I cannot recall off the top of my head. The fact of the matter remains, we're more than happy to build just about any product, be it a prototype or full production piece.

I'm sorry, but it's impossible to perfect perfection, not knowing what perfection is to start with.

Since this has been bumped from dead, great job Alex.
