Well, I have to install the short ram that came with the FMIC at some point, so figured I'd throw it on before I do the rest just so there's one less step... I was curious to see/hear the difference between a short ram and my previous setup, which was stock with silencer removal and a short PVC pipe connecting airbox to fender.

Guess what... no real difference. Honestly, it sounded pretty much exactly the same.

Once I get the FMIC on I will see about squeezing the filter into the fenderwell somehow, to get out of the engine bay...

How much fun is it to take the silencer all the way out?

I've thought about doing an elbow but that airbox to fender sounds all right.

so could i, and so was i... i think the longer pipe had something to do with the resonance.
