You guys helped me last time, so I figured I'd come back here for advice.

Would you guys buy this: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...2007&start_year=2003&isp=y&lang=en&cardist=20

car if you guys were in the market for a WRX? I'm not so keen on the 03's, and would prefer an 04 due to styling changes and new seats. However they just lowered the price, so I was also wondering if you guys think thats a good price? I don't really have much more time to wait on getting a new car.

So should I continue to wait on a nearby 04 that has 30k or below mileage, or rock this one?

Only problem with the bugeyes is that I hate the headlights and will likely spend lots of money on new lights:keke:

However I have riden in this car and its very clean, and in good mechanical shape.

    i say go for it!

but hey, i like the bugeyes the best, and it's a freaking wagon!

    fast bugeye wagons rule!!

(oh, if you get it, bobby's wagon won't be so rare :wtc:)

FYI: I think I saw a silver wrx bugeye wagon at either the ford or chevrolet dealership off of Mansell road in Alpharetta, that is being advertised at $12K or $14K in grease paint on the front window. I didn't stop to look at the car but it may be worth a phone call.

I'm pretty sure it was the Ford dealership.

Price seems a little high to me. For a Bugeye WRX Wagon you should be in the 12 to 14000 range.

my advice would be to wait until you find the one you love.....

+1 for the high price. Look in the 12k-14k range like Jason said

well see, they should be that low as far as private party, KBB on that car is like 20k from a dealer, and im sure yu could get them lower than what they are offering.

it's automatic, so thats an instant NO

The problem is that I want real low mileage. This car is just under 30k which is perfect mileage wise. See it's got to last me a looong time, so trying to get as low as possible.

The key thing is that I know this car is going to be good mechanically as SOG has it checked out, etc. Whereas at non subaru dealerships and private party its a bit :eek:hnoes:

I got my car from a Private Party and got it checked out by the Subaru dealership.

Don't forget that w/ a dealership, there will be another 7% sales tax.

I know, its a pain. I have found an 04, but its way out in SC. There are none in GA from my searches.

    ripoff
    I paid 16000 for an 02 with 30k in october of 2003
and I got it from subaru of gwinnett
I have a friend who just paid 12900 for an 02 or 03 with low miles
that sounds about the right price

Don't be afraid to drive a little to get a good deal. I got my car from Jacksonville, FL as it was a few thousand less than the ones in the area.

i agree with some of the guys its a little over priced imo....just keep shoppin you will see the one you want and know thats its a good price. Also i agree driving a little ways isnt always a bad idea if its a good deal.

14k is what I paid for mine at sog for an 02 and it had somethin like 50k on it and I put 10k more on it already havent had it for a year yet but it was REALLY what I wanted tho.

Also, if you buy from a Private Seller, let them know you want to take the car to a Subaru Dealership before purchase to get everything checked out. I have taken any used car that I have bought to a Dealership before finalizing anything. Also, I bought a Honda from a Nissan Dealership once and told the Nissan people that I wanted to take it to a Honda Dealer first to have everthing checked out. They had no problem with that.

heres another problem. I have to finance a small portion of the car. However if I try to buy from private party it is apparently quite a hassle to get a loan taken out for it. So bascially I have to find one from a dealer

I say definitely don't get it if you like the 04-05 style better. You will still probably love it, but there will always be that part of you that wishes you had the 04. Settling is bad for cars, houses, and women.

    Also, yeah, seems pricey.
