Should Trancetto go for it?

    Well my buddy has some brand new Type RA gear set 1-5 that he ordered few months back. He paid 2100 with the gear set, and full install kit.

    He is trying to get rid of them now since he doesnt own a subaru anymore, and wants 1100 for them. Should I jump on this? What is holding me back? I wont be doing this install. Don't have the time or place for this type of work.

    How much does it cost for a shop like AllPro, TopSpeed etc... to drop the transmission, and install the kit....

    What would my bill be looking like at the end of the day, including the 1,100 for gears.

    What are your goals? I'd say keep saving for a 6 speed, ra gears still break.

    No high goals here. My next upgrade over vf43 would be something to get me in the mid 300's.

    mid 3's will break that gearset. When I had mine, although I beat the shit out of it with no problems, it was always on the back of my mind

    Those gears are no better than you current ones and your mpg in town will flat out SUCK.
