Been talking to a bunch of builders. I have heard really good things about a guy named Kieth Craft out of Arkansas. I am pretty sure I am going with a 351w small block stroked to a 408. I can get about 525 hp/tq out of it. Which should be plenty on a 2500 lb car. The tranny is going to be a tremec TKO 600 5 speed. I am actually looking forward to just getting back to old school motor and carb stuff. Should be nice and relaxing. Turbo's are great fun and I will miss AWD. But I can drive my wife's legacy if I get missing it too much Now if the car will just sell lol. Dan
Ok I changed my mind lol I am going with the SB 427 it makes a little more power and it is on special right now.
i was gonna say 351 wasnt what we were talkin bout. you know you need atlest a 427 for your high torque cravings.
427 ftw!! i think that is the perfect choice, how can one not think of the cobra and the 427. :bigthumb:
I am going with Keith craft out of arkansas. I will be in kansas by the time I get the motor anyway. He has a great reputation and is conscidered one of the best ford engine builders out there. Here is the link to the motor http://www.keithcraft.com/ads/index.html#Kirkham2 It will make about 580 hp to the crank which is PLENTY in one of these cars.
