So I'm looking for a turbo....

So here are the plans...

ej25 block
9.2:1 pistons
Forged rods n all that jazz
SOHC heads
Delta cams with a very spicy grind

Now I just need a turbo. I'm looking for something twinscroll and will do 15psi-ish and not be out of its efficiency range at 7k rpms. So I want really good mid and top end. Am I asking for too much?

 

why not just do a dohc

 

Cause SOHC already comes on my car lol

Plus my SOHC flows better than wrx DOHC

I'm doing the same thing and I am going to start with an 18G.

 

I have my heart set on being different and being twinscroll =(

 

US WRX heads and cams suck.

With cams...suck less....but still suck.

 

Twinscroll=t3h ghey.

 

Why teh ghey? Spools up faster quiets the exhaust because of no more subaru grumble

 

In theory....I was going to do TC....but after some serious research...too much $, time and effort spent for too small a gain. Stock single scroll header is best with the appropriate turbo for your needs.

 

I guess I'll just spend that extra money on the deadbolt spa treatment. PnP and ceramic coating should help. Looks like I might be going with a TD05H 18G 8cm.

I'll be running a higher comperssion....i'm sure it'll boost a bit quicker

 

if that spec C was a true spec C...EJ207...then the same turbo on your 2.5 should reach full boost at like 2800 rpm.

 

now that sounds yummy..a guy on Nabisco made like 350lbs/tq and had a pretty flat curve till 7k redline.

 

There aren't any flow numbers in the link you posted. Port size has virtually nothing to do with flow so I hope thats not where you guys are getting this info.
