what up everybody! i'm Ephremn and i'm your service adviser at SOG. i'll do my best to answer any service/ warranty q's you might have. and we take good care of our members. any help i can offer, just ask and i'll see what i can do. later
Sup man? I'll bring you some more magazines to read tomorrow when I come for the coilover installation.
sweet! new mags rock! i have the day off tomorrow (cause i have to work sat), but you can put them on one of the shelves in my office. thanks dude. and alex, just give me a call and we'll work out that warranty stuff
What?! No way! I think I need a new engine convered under warrenty...its a 1996 Legacy with 220k miles onit....I hear those have 30 year/300,000 mile powertrain warrenty. I'll be up there FIRST thing monday morning for you guys to check it out.:keke:
Thanks ,Ephremn. By the way, your wagon is sooo cool...Hopefully mine will be that way in the near future.... Mark
I kinda got a question . I bought my sti from a private party and he's kinda slacking on transfering over the warenty to me. Is there a way to do it myself? I'd like to get my rear struts fixed. They make the poping sound from time to time...
The warrenty stays with the CAR until it expires either due to mileage or age...which ever comes first. 3/36k for bumper to bumper...5/50k for powertrain (for STi, IIRC).
hmmm the guy at SoG told me it wouldn't be covered 'cuz my car was at 35,800 miles and I never done service/maintenance at Subaru dealership... and later on when I argued about it to at least try to file a warranty claim to SOA he told me it's under 10k warranty... I also talked to the manager and he also told me it won't be covered without contacting SOA.. so I asked the manager if I could see the warranty brocher 'cuz I didn't have mine with me, he told me I should carry one in the car and refused to show me... oh well... just sharing my some what bad experience at SOG... People at parts department were very nice when I bought new bumper, splitters and fog covers though edit: the guy that I talked to had a Forester with painted stock wheels...
Umm...no...that pretty much voids all Powertrain related items.:hsnono: Very out of line. Also, VERY out of character of the guy you talked too, I knew him personally. You should certinly not have any more issues from SoG in the future.
that guy doesn't work there anymore... he was very helpful to me but people had complained that his personality was abrasive at times neal (fast4ced4) and ephremn (7wolf) are the 2 service advisors at SOG now... they are both very helpful and friendly
alright yall. sorry i've been slackin and not getting back to you about the q's. (btw, thanks Will for helping answer 'em) Steve gets a little cranky when i "play" on the internet so i have to try and find time to get on here. plus not having a computer at home hurts. i know, what a loser. bla bla bla. i'll try harder to get back to you guys, but your best bet is to call me up here 678/584-7252.
Hey man! Everybody else seems to get away with "playing on the internet" in Scott's office when he's out tuning. Doesn't seem fair that they would say anything to you...
damn, i was caught! no really, steve gets cranky when it gets towards the end of the month (that's his time to bleed) and the numbers aren't where they need to be. then here i am online and he's like, "what are you doing? what's going on with this or that? blah blah blah." and i just don't want to hear it.
haha. I need to get my car up there sometime in the next week or two, I've got a squeek somewhere in the front passenger's side suspension that has started to get worse. Just gotta coordinate between service, parts for getting new brakepads, and see if Scott can spare some free time to run a couple datalogs on my car since it's been finicky recently. First thing is exams this week . . .
