Since I was off work today I figured I'd try a DIY so I went to home depot and grabbed a gutter guard mesh. Not quite sure if I like the results but hey..its easily removable. What do u guys think?

Looks like you spray painted the black strip on the bumper though....that's not a simple removal if you wanted to do it.

Other than that it looks great!

    Difficulty (1)

The Parts List is as follows:

1 Gutter guard mesh (Home Depot) - the mesh is almost the perfect length to cover the front of the car. you'll prolly need a wire cutter to cut it into shape.

1 Can of leftover Duplicolor Bumper Spray (Black)

1 Pack of 3" Stick On letters from Office Depot

Put letters on mesh...spray black and let dry (x4). Keep in mind that debris from the road will constantly hit this mesh so the more coats the better. You may also want to add some clear coat.

Then since the mesh is so flimsy, you'll need some backing to make it firm. I found a metal strip from Home Depot that did the trick ( sort of).

The trim going around the mesh makes it look less "bootleg". The door edge trim i got from walmart was very stiff and hard to work with...to make it bend around the corners of the mesh i had to heat it over the stove a little ( a heat gun would prolly be a better alternative). Be careful not to burn your kitchen down lol.

    Next Step:
Figuring out a way to attach it to the car...stay tuned
