SP according to everyone that I follow or follows me, and my GPS, my speedo seems to have some places where it is between 5 and 7+ miles off.... I didn't know if any one else had experience this before, and if it's a warranty item or if I'm just screwed. It seems around 40-60 and definitely 65-85mph. If anyone knows what I should plan to do, that would be great.
Not sure...but both the two legacy's my dad has had and my wrx read exactly 2 mph slower than the actual vehicle speed. So in order for us to actually be going 45mph i have to make my needle hit 47-48mph. Weird but incredibly consistent btw the 3 suby's in the family. I would imagine that they could service that. I'm not sure if the sensor is in the tranny on our cars or what ...also could be a faulty gauge...but yeah i think it would be covered.
mine is def. off. Are you on stock tires, or have they been replaces with something else. If so, what size are they? That'll affect your speedometer.
I have the ECUTEK data monitor. The speed output to the gauge is a certain percentage higher than what the ECU sees as true speed (ECU sees ~76mph while the speedometer shows ~80mph).
I was driving beside one of those new civics with their digital speedo, and mine was pretty much dead on with his lol.
Thanks trey... I'm certain that's it. Once I put the STI pink RUTSPEED sticker on it, it's been the fastest thing I've ever driven.... Thanks for the comments guys. It's on stock potenzas so I'm not sure why it's doing it. Oh well... Thanks again.
mine is off too, but i dont worry about it. its like an anti-speeding gauge lol. im usually under the limit! btw,is this rut that was around gotham, zack, and the other people around newnan, ptc, etc?
