There's a charity located in Sandy Springs that adopts former race greyhounds.
Second Chance Greyhounds. Give them a call.

Prolly both. I don't know this just came through the Pooch thread on Nasioc so I felt compelled to pass it on.

Such awesome dogs too....mine just died at almost 15 years old about 3 months ago.

  6. I need another dog like I need a hole in my head, but I've always wanted a greyhound... maybe I can talk the wifey into it...

And I thought this was a thread about that fatass mascot dog dying? :keke:

For real though, rescue some of these dogs if you can. Greyhounds are awesome dogs if you can keep up, they just dont live very long compared to other breeds.

Greyhounds are badass dogs. I wish the other people in this house weren't allergic :unamused:

  10. I want one! I almost got one years ago but then ended up with a massive fatass cat. Some greyhounds will chase cats (the fat cat can move faster than you think). They supposedly are great couch potato dogs. Oh hubby......??? :)

  12. I thought greyhounds were generally hypoallergenic?

They are better than most dogs, but they still shed and can cause reactions from the dander, much like other short hair dogs. They would probably only bother someone who has severe allergies.

I really wish that I could adopt one, but I don't have time nor a place for one currently. My friend has one that is an absolute joy. Great pets.
