Front Mount is the only way to go.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion if you disagree you are wrong

Theres more cooling capacity and its right out front in the airflow, it just works better

Little more lag, but ultimately better. Just try to figure out what your eventual goals for the car and size it accordingly so that it will be good for future modifications as well.

It's my understanding a front mount is way laggy for a stock turbo, and that a larger top mount would be better... Switch to a front mount when upgrading the turbo...

Depends on what your goals with the car are... if you plan on keeping the car st2 then the tmic will actually make a bit more power.. gimme a call at the shop sometime if you'd like and we can discuss the pros and cons of them.

don't forget the safety factor of removing front bumper beam. With FMIC and front bumper beam removed, small fender bender can cause catastrophic damage to the front end.

I would have went with a name brand used top mount before Ebay but.... If I remember correctly the Ebay intercoolers are a big PITA to install and don't fit very well, but work pretty decent once you get past all that.

Ebay's work ok... but I think for your power level a stock STI take off would have been perfect and my TMIC of choice.

I just received my Perrin FMIC in a few days ago. I need to get it on when I get back home(working out of town ugh). I am upgrading my tinyturbo to a FP68HTA. But I talked to Perrin and they said that with there stg 2 map, major lag wouldnt have been an issue with the stock turbo. We'll never know though...

I have an actual Hyperflow TMIC for $450. It was going to go on my car but didn't fit the GC without significant modding.

On a stock turbo you'll have more area under the curve with the TMIC.

The ebay's are really not suggestible over your current STi TMIC. I'd honestly keep the STi one instead of the ebay...
