So, I was thinking of getting the STi hoodscoop for the WRX, and at the Subaru website it says that it costs $150. Does anyone know how much it will be to get it painted and installed? Also, I think the bigger scoop will make the car look more aggresive, or at least different from other WRX's, do you guys have opinions on how it'd look on an otherwise stock WRX? Thanx. :wavey:
A lot of the members here have them, so yr lou should be able to find a few examples in our garage. You're right, it will make the car a bit more aggressive. Not sure on the painting costs.
i have the JDM style on my bugeye. Ill try and get a better pic for you later but here is what i have now. im not sure how much it costs to get painted but on average i have seen 150.00 the going rate just for the scoop. Now if you dont have the bugeye or you want the traditional 04-05 sti scoop i think yerrow has a cf one he is selling. Or Milo has the new body style on his bugeye.
you can get one from subydude.com.....i got mine there and it was already painted and probably the easiest mod i've done....
these guys have fair prices... http://www.allsubaru.com you can get it painted as well. just do a search for hood scoop.
That's a great site, and they will paint it for you, thanks. I do not know if you're familiar with the site at all, but one aparently must post the color code or something in their "comments section before you check out" if you want it painted. I could find so no such section. Could you tell me where it is or something?
here is a USDM STI scoop USDM STI Scoop I dont know how to request it painted though. probably through the ordering process, which I didn't go through.
^^^ Thanks, but I have an 05 So what do you guys think of a carbon fiber scoop, on an otherwise stock crystal gray WRX? I found one pretty dang cheap on the web, but I'm not sure if it's a piece of junk though. http://store.yahoo.com/import-store/stcafihoscfo2.html http://www.matrixracing.com/BI12748Details.htm Any input on the overall quality of carbon fiber, compared to stock? Does it dent/warp easily?
