this is a very useful feature for me, however all of a sudden it no longer beeps, it only lights up. is there some way of turning the beep on/off, or is it just broken already? relatedly, i did not get an owner's manual with my car. i signed up on my.subaru.com, but the owner's manual pdf they have there doesn't seem to have much info in it. it's just pictures and names of the controls, and an index. am i missing something? anywhere online i can get a full version of the manual, or is this the full version and there's just not much in there?
set it to where you want. It should beep once and give it a turn itll say on or itll be blank if its blank then no sound
yea, there is a thing poking out of your gauge area.. right? haha. i have one i should know.. i changed it once.
so i guess the pdf from subaru.com is not the whole thing, b/c it has no textual information and doesn't even point out the actual thing to change the light. i know how to change the rev that it is set at. but i don't know if i can or can not turn the beep on/off (the light still functions as normal).
I think it should show you an option to turn sound on or off after you set the revs. I can go grab my manual in a few if that didn't help. I remember you flick it in one direction or something... i've been meaning to change mine b8ut i only think about it while i'm already moving and it wont let you change it then so...
ohhh i see how it works now. i didn't realize it was displaying info where the outside temp is. my boost gauge blocks it i got it back on now, thanks you guys.
turn key on but not the car. Set it to the setting you want. With the little black knob on the bottom left of the cluster. once you set it at say 70 it will beep once then turn the knob one more time and it should say on then itll beep twice and your set. Hope that helps . I also actually ran outside to do this real quick. Damn late post oh well i tried.

my first night i drove till i couldn't keep my eyes open emstraumajunke, thanks for the link, i saw that before stickied somewhere. are the owner's and service manual the same thing? or one contained in the other? i thought they would be different.
