i reckon my question is: Is worth the $800(plus) to go back with the bridgestones or is there a tire just as good for a cheaper price. I want a performance tire, but dont know much about tires. I'd hate to learn buy wasting money. I welcome all comments.
It really depends on what you feel is "good." Are you looking for something that will give you the feel of the 070's for cheaper? Do you want something a little stickier, something that gives a softer, quieter ride?Do you do any performance driving or are you just on the street? In my opinion you can get tires that are comparable to the 070's in terms of handling, will outlast them in terms of wear and will cost less, but you will take a hit in NVH. Reply back and I'll give you some suggestions.
yeah, i was wondering what that was too. sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread... back to the topic at hand -drums
These are the "tyres" on the s203, I am looking at them right now. http://www.us.pirelli.com/en_US/tyr...ml?selected=desc&catid=US_UHP&productid=17428
I am running Pirelli P zero Nero M/S. Good tires for the price (125 each) Great tread life and grip. They are good in the rain too. If you want more grip and less tread life, get the summer only version. I used to have the summer only version, but they felt a little spongy when autocrossing because of the tall tread, but street behavior was good. Over all very pleased. I remember sport compact car magazine did a feature article about 4-5 months ago on sport road tires. Does anyone keep past issues?
I hear a lot of good things about the Kuhmo MX and the Falken Azenis Sport and usually around 130 or less apiece. http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_t.htm?refad=GooAzenis they are closing out on the azenis.
