You should make something out of it...like a toaster or something.

Up-pipe is the perfect first mod, and by far the most bang-for-the-buck of any basic exhaust modification you can do to the car.

better than dropping the 2 cats past the turbo?

In terms of feel when you're driving, absolutely.

Throttle response with 5hp gain makes a lot more difference at the seat of the pants than 10-15hp does with sluggish spoolup.

Hell, on a mountain road I'd rather have an otherwise stock WRX with an uppipe over a car with a turbo-back and a stock uppipe.

Gotta get one with a flex joint though... solid ones are hit or miss.

ive heard that flex joints affect airflow... guess it isnt too bad

Crappily built ones will affect airflow. Properly designed units (like the PDE) are sleeved inside and have no turbulence issues.

So how much is it for a PDE uppipe and install up there where you work?

I'll get a quote for you, Richard. The up-pipe is $275, $300 even with the new OE crush gaskets.

I'll get a price on labor for you.
