-- Contest Ended -- Alright guys, here's a chance to showcase your creativity and give a little something back to the Suby community. Design a flyer for the Subaru Challenge (www.subaruchallenge.com). Be tasteful and creative. Feel free to use Subaru logos and the Subaru Challenge logo. The flyer should address the following two points: Build awareness about the event. Provide information on how to register for the event. Some helpful info / constraints on design: The design should fill an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. 1 page only. Unlimited colors. 1 entry per WRXatlanta member. Details on how to submit your designs will be provided shortly. All submissions will be judged and there will be prizes for the best 2 submissions (courtesy of Subaru of America): 1st place gets a $100 gift certificate for parts or service from Subaru of Gwinnett. 2nd place gets a $50 gift certificate for parts or service from Subaru of Gwinnett. The last date for submissions is August 20th so don't wait till its too late. The flyer would be handed out at dealerships or posted in appropriate areas. It might be used for a MySubaru.com drop as well. Keep in mind that it needs to be appropriate for each of the three Subaru Challenges and not just Atlanta specific. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: All submissions become the sole property of WRXatlanta.com . All submissions may be used and/or distributed at the sole discretion of WRXatlanta.com without providing compensation to the submitter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Submissions: M-chan BrianGT 1ll-WRX miloman Alex monk jt money heathbar A group of 5 judges have determined the winners: 1. If the winners would PM a snail mail address and name to RRSCR, he will send out their Gwinnett Bucks certificate. 1st $100, 2nd $50 and 3rd and 4th get $25. He also needs higher resolution versions of each flyer. I'll let you know shortly how to get those to him.
Make them 8 1/2 by 11, one page and unlimited colors. One entry per WRX Atlanta member would be good. Milo will coordinate the collection of the entries. The flyer would be handed out at dealerships or posted in appropriate areas. We might also use it for a MySubaru.com drop as well. Keep in mind that it needs to be appropriate for each of the three Subaru Challenges and not just Atlanta specific. Be sure to attend the 8/5 Scavenger Hunt that starts at Subaru of Gwinnett. There will be a special surprise for each participating team. Randy
no... randy has helped us with our events in the past... now we have a chance to help him out with his event ... we would have had this contest regardless of the current participation rate
I call it "ode to RE92" Bonus points to those who can name which wrxatlanta members are pictured in the flyer
Mere, that's GREAT. Wow, you whipped that thing up fast. I can't wait to see what 1ll and Monk do too. Here's the thing. We have SUCH an awesome group of local Subaru enthusiasts. Some of our install days, g2g's, tours, etc have more people that "well-reputed" car shows Yet, *OUR* turn-out for the local Subaru Challenges has not been stellar. The Challenges have still had good numbers, but more people from surrounding states than locals. Subaru of America looks at things like this. It would be good for us to show that the Atlanta Region Subaru Enthusiasts (wrxatlanta.com members) are involved with events put on by SoA. Previous events have always given away more cool stuff than the entry price itself, PLUS a great auto-cross Last time they even had demo LGT's for event attendees to burn the tires off, what more could you ask This is an opportunity for all of us to get out there and really show Subaru how much we love their cars. Thanks, SS
If only Atlanta wasn't so far off and Nopi so soon there. Can't afford to make the trip twice and I HAVE to attend Nopi to make the sponsors happy.
sorry dude, i have an entire business model to get up and interactively/financially functional by early september. i don't think i'll have time for this go around. mere's design looks good, i'm sure there will be some solid creative submitted for this.
I think Mere set the bar too high.....I know I was thoroughly impressed... me personally, I only have time right now to whore it up on here...:keke:
sweet... i have added it to the first post :bigthumb: keep the submissions rolling in people... winners get SOG bucks
Brian had to look hard for this picture I'll bet. Guess who is sitting on the tailgate of the truck talking on a cell phone. $50 in Gwinnett cash to whoever has the correct answer first, posted to this thread.
I remember what he looks like, and I talked to him in person, but I forget his name. He was a nice guy. Give me a few minutes and I will figure it out. Is it Randy Reinhardt, the Regional Fixed Operations Manager? haha, I just realized that you were the guy I named above... -- Brian
This can obviously be cropped to fit appropriately, I left everything relatively justified to the right. I am still working on it.
