cant wait for this to come out so i can go test drive them... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1358
this i have not heard of... that would be awesome though cuz i love lexus quality interior vs scion or subaru. I wouldnt be able to buy it new anyways so better to have it come out as a lexus with nice stuff, drive my subaru for another 4-5 years and make the switch haha
yes i automatically thought supra as well. toyota needs to start making super cars again...supra, celica, mr2....instead of the boring vanilla crap they produce now
only if they released a baby lf-a that would compete with the likes of m6, jag xk, etc i would wait for a used one and jump on that muhahah
Don't get your hopes up... http://www.leftlanenews.com/report-no-turbo-for-subarus-sporty-coupe.html I am sure a turbo version will come out at some point, but it may not be available when this thing first hits showrooms.
anybody notice anything crazy with this set-up? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1987&page=18
its a subaru, i already know it will be mediocre. maybe i should start a new seat fund ahead of time. Though, the GR's are quite more presentable than our GD's so there is hope
Interested to see how well a wrx header and uppipe fit in there with a front mount setup like a rotated manifold...
True but I think it'd be quite easy, especially if it's an Ej series motor. Depending on how the heads flow, ej257 swap, and STI tgv's/fuel rails, and crinkle red manifold etc etc. Wonder how bad a awd drivetrain would be to fit? Would be cool if all it needed was custom drive shaft and hub swap...
Edit: nevermind after looking at the engines position next to the wheels I don't think awd would work
soooo good I'd consider a trade in.. Jalopnik says it probably won't look like this, which would be a shame http://jalopnik.com/5855164/subaru-brz-sti-concept-gives-first-look-at-subieyota
if the price isnt too much of a difference i`d like to stay as a subie owner~ but the toyota is winning in the styling department in my eyes so far
Are there any estimates on price so far? I'd really love to get into one of these, lowering my monthly payments significantly would seal the deal.
I personally like the subie one over the toyo, bc I find it milder in styling. I think MT or some article was speculating ~25k. However, I think for it to be successful on the subaru side, it would have to be priced less than a WRX. I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, but I can see the public thinking 'well if its only a few hundred difference to get a AWD turbo car vs a RWD coupe, may as well get the car subaru is know for'. For me, my fanboism will probably prevail and even if its a bit more than a WRX, I can very much see myself buying one.
