I'm trying to figure out a good place to mount a power inverter. basically it has 2 plugs on it, and one i'm running to a custom cut recepticle in the glovebox. I'll leave the other plug on it open for use. i'm trying to figure out where would be a good and easy-to-get-to place to mount it... ideas? suggestions?
Under a seat? There's a good bit of space on top of the glovebox too if you pull it out. I've got my Alpine interface brain up there in my car.
Inside the glovebox would mean you need to have it open if you want to plug anything else in additionally. I would say mount it on the passenger front side of the center console (down by the passenger's left calf). This should be a decent spot because its a low impact zone and a low annoyance zone.
well, its not ON the glovebox, its actually going to be on that panel to the right of the box, next to the door. I just said glove box to give a visual frame of reference for where i'm running wires... no i mean where do I mount the inverter itself
i don't think under the seat because eventually i'm going to have 2 audio amps... on top of the glovebox, hmm, i'll go take measurements...
well, one i would like having a cool looking, clean power plug just sitting in the front panels. but also, i'd like to make sure the second plug on it is something that can be used from other spots in the car. Besides, where would i put my c/b? ;p
that would probably work, but i'd like it to be accessible from theback seat since i'm making a plug receptical up front already... hmm, this is tough. .... can anything fit under the rearbench?
that's where i'm putting mine, i'm tired of dragging it out from the trunk everytime i need it. should prob mount the fire extinguisher when i get a chance too now that i think about it. (whoops, end thread jack)
not under the rear bench, but you could put it mounted to the back of the rear seat behind the carpet in the trunk
