    What do the numbers mean? as in 7/5? i'm familair with the 250 lbs per coil rating for example but not this...

    Also I'm getting Joel's old springs off of him after he swaps out for his new ones, they are tein s.'s i believe? unless anyone knows different. (id ask him if he were online right now...) can you guys give me some ups and downs of going from my stock sti springs to those? I like the suspension now, it's a little tight but not too tight but there is a decent amount of suspension roll which i'd like to get rid of. I love the drop on joel's car so thats a big + for me. I'm used to driving a lowered car (i had a 2" drop on my GSR before). Any input?

    I think it means

    7kg/mm front
    5kg/mm rear

    Joel Ferhman?

    I had a list of spring rates for the more common springs for the sti. Do you know which Tein springs they are?

    Right and X kg/mm * 2.2lbs/kg * 26mm/in = Y lbs/in that your familiar with.

    they are tein h tech's. looks like;

    Spring Rate (lbs/inch) 4.1/229 3.5/196
    Ride Height Drop (inch) -1 -0.4

    look pretty good tome i think

    also, what all do you need to "tune" your suspension? full adjustable coilovers?

    'tuning' ur suspension would mean u r setting everything u have for a desired application... for stock suspension, i believe all u can do is get an alignment... with modifications, u get more combinations... for my setup i can adjust:

    1) alignment
    2) swaybars
    3) shock damping
    4) spring rates

    the more adjustability u have, the more complicated it can get to set it right... unless u find someone with a similar setup and find out what worked best for them... remember, a cheaper setup that is tuned correctly will SIGNIFICANTLY outperform an expensive setup tuned incorrectly

    I may be getting the Tein's if they can help with my suspension too. I need to do my research on them though. I have some stock 04 STi springs that a friend gave me, but nobody has told me if this could help my wagon or not. I will get a DP first though as PeD suggested to me....
