recently noticed that my Samco hoses are partially cut up by the little slits from the factory hose clamps (cheapos). Im planning to change all my clamps to t bolt clamps where the band does not bite into the hose and equally distribute the clamp force (helps prevent leaks). If anyone is interested please PM me. If we get a large enough interest. Ill make a kit for all the hoses. There are a total of 10 bands and each is about $4 (depending on size). Im goin to shop today but if we buy a large enough order maybe we can get wholesale prices. Ill do the work
yes i was there and not $1 www.mcmaster.com pg 229 Just one of the many sizes 45945K16 316 Ss Smooth-Band Worm-Drive Hose/Tube Clamp 2-1/2" To 3-1/2" Clamp Id Range, 1/2" Band Width = $4.61 each
Yeah, but for these applications wouldn't 430SS suffice? Also, check out page 230 -- the vibration resistant high-torque ones are 304SS and not too costly either. Just throwing out some alternatives.
If you are paying $4 for t-bolt clamps you are getting ripped off. www.siliconeintakes.com I got enough for my FMIC and some for a buddies TMIC all for $40 total and they were at my house in like 3 days.
What sizes are needed for the IC hoses? I might as well replace these while I am putting on my Ebay TMIC.
