just got some from a guy on nasioc. He said they hadn't been used. But when I look at them, it looks like he tried to mount them, but then took them off before actually "using" them while driving.

    Here are some pics:

These are the clips, notice how one looks kinda corroded and a little cracked....

Is this something seriously wrong, or can I still work with these and make them fit properly?

    Thanks!

But what's up with the black part that looks like it has been cut up?

What is the bottom a picture of? I've got a set of brand new Agency Power brake lines in front of me and the bracket in the top pic is scuffed up just like that and they're new. I cant find the clips anywhere on my lines that are in the bottom pic. Looks like they just didnt care to fine polish the plastic bracket, I could care less what it looks like as long as it functions.

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what I am looking at in these pics. I just know that I have two parts that look like they should match, but have differing qualities. I am not normally this picky about stuff I get second hand, but these are my brakes! If my swaybar is a little scuffed or damaged, my life will not be in danger, but my brakes are something else.

Either way, thanks for your reassurance, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Those rusted pieces are what hold your rear brake lines to the rear strut body. You'll be fine with those.

The black pieces are what hold the front lines to the front strut body. They may have needed to be
"manipulated" to fit into place correctly.
