My last set of coilovers (ground control/tokico combo) were on a honda, so forgive me for any newb like qualities in this post. I just installed the tein flex coilovers on my 06 sti. I did some research, but didn't quite find out what i was looking for. I know the the top perch is for adjusting the height, and i believe from what i have read, the bottom one is for adjusting the compresssion and rebound. I did a about a full turn tighter on the bottom than how they were shipped to me. While installing i had no clue what the bottom spinner was for so i just tried to tighten it. I was too excited installing the coilovers to realize i was an idiot. If someone could just point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me where the bottom one should sit?
Do i measure from the top perch to the bottom or should i let a shop adjust it?
Anyone recommend a certain place i should go to adjust everything (height, compression, alignment etc.)

The height from the car from the fender to the center of wheel is 13.5 in. for the front and 12.5 in. in the rear. I have read a good combo is 14 for front and 13.5 in rear.

Is the current setup i have now too low in anybody's eyes?

    Thanks for the help guys.

WJM and SS will definately set you up with a "set it and forget it" setup :)

    Sup Dusty.

WJM set up my Flex's at SOG with a corner balance and alignment. The car handles better than it ever did. I strongly recommend him.

Yup, WJM worked on my flex's balance and alignment and I have no problems.

Thanks guys for the input. I went to topspeed and they adjusted everything for me and corner balanced it. I got my alignment done by Jeff at Tires Plus on Sandy Plains. He was awesome and set it up for street use and made it easy for me to adjust at the track (camber wise). I still have to go to SOG to get some other things worked on and i will let them check it out to see if everything looks ok.
