the 2.5RS is about to give you competition.

i called topspeed today about my engine work. i`m pretty much set on the following...

twe stage 2 sohc cams, stiffer springs, and titanium retainers
port/polish the heads and multi-angle valve job the stock valves
s-afc to take care of the fuel and dyno-tuned.

The RS is still slow

 

you might have a little more horsepower but i`ve got no lag torque, 4.11 gearing, and a lightweight flywheel on my side.

 

That gearing is your advantage over a WRX.

 

Yeah, what kind of torque #s and curve are you expecting? I'd think a setup like that would make for a nice torquey driver...

 

what octane do RS run on?

Stock they run 89 but with those mods he will be in 93 land with the rest of us.

 

I actually found a gas station with 91 like the wrx manual said.


but the 93 across the street was only 2 cents more...

 

Sounds killer, always wanted to see a 2.5rs with heavy modifications. Sounds fun!

 

Yeah it will run on 91 but 93 is better.

 

oh man..now i need to crank the boost up to 22lbs just to keep up with your RS..geez..modding never stops
