fuck yes, I am ready for mass amounts. Hows about we list our top 5? In no order: -Sweetwater Blue -Sierra Nevada Pale Ale -XX Amber -Bud Light (yes you read that right : ) ) -Heineken
Yuengling Lager for the Win I have an unopened case in my pantry (thanks Mom and Dad), and a 12 pack of Yuengling Light (thanks pEd)
Sierra nevada pale ale Fat Tire mmmmmm - plus it has a picture of a bike on it for those shaved leg men
I don't discriminate. I've had them all and every one of them tastes like crap to me. So, I go for the lite/light beers.
I was between newcastle and sam adams summer oh, and I thought about putting sam adams utopia on there to be a beer snob...but didnt google it if you havent heard of it
I'm not a big Sam Adams fan but the Cherry Wheat is delicious. Other favorites: Miller High Life Firestation 5 IPA Guinness Sweetwater 420 ABC Numbers Ale <- best local beer that cant be found anywhere except the brewery Terrapin Rye Ale Normally I try to pick up a 6 pack of something fancy that I've never had before and an 18 pack of high-life.
Guinness is my fav New Castle Bass That's one of the three I get. If I'm cheap it's either Bud Light or Yungling. That new Miller Chill isn't half bad either.
What no Miller Chill? As for Yuengling coming to ATL. I thought the brewery in Tampa has been operational for a while now, yet still no Yuengling. Can't wait until I can get it locally.
In no particular order: Newcastle Guinness Sweetwater 420, Hummer, Georgia Brown Amstel Light Red Stripe Cheap: Bud Light Rolling Rock and of course....Natty! (duh)
the darker the better. I have ONE of these, one of the finest beers in the world: http://ratebeer.com/beer/three-floyds-dark-lord-russian-imperial-stout/15917/33347/ 26 proof. you can only buy them ONE day out of the year and you must be present at the brewery in Indiana to get some, quantities limited. in other news, I might be getting a job at the budweiser brewery in cartersville
If you like dark beers, give Carnegie Porter a try if you're able to find it here these days. It's a Swedish beer, the original brewery founded sometime in the 19th century, and absolutely outstanding. As for Yuengling, I too heard it'll be coming to GA finally. Supposedly November. Their lager is ok in cans, but REALLY good on tap (I was in PA recently). The black and tan is awesome for the price.
Stella Blue Moon Hoegaarden 420 Magic Hat #9 (have to be in northeast for this one) 40's usually do the trick if i'm budget ballin though :coolugh:
hm...I suppose I am picky, I have never touched Bud Wiser or Miller and not planning to either Stella draft Newcastle Tsingtao to go with good
Damn, I was just thinking about starting this thread. My favorites (all dark or amber ales) Spaten Optimator Sweetwater Sweet Georgia Brown McChouffe However, now is the time for Oktoberfest Bieren! Who's got a favorite seasonal?
Damn dude.. that would be a refrigerator worth raiding. Grolsch lager swing-tops are a favorite of mine!!
taco mac beer of the month is sam adams octoberfest (which is good imo). If you go on thursday, you get a free beer mug like the sweet water ones (hey, at least they will all match when those are the only glassware you have in the house). faves are: sweetwater blue yungling (sp?) corrona (w lime) bass stella strongbow (with or without bass/guiness)
Sam Adams Summer Ale FTW!!!. Are there any Hefeweizen or Belgian White fans out there?. I also love Blue Moon, thanks to Scotty B....1LL-WRX....oh, and I can't leave out Stella Artois...tasty...:naughty: Mark
Most european lagers are good but my personal favorites are: Green King IPA draught Bigbury Best Courage Pilchard Best Bass London Pride Spitfire Speckled Hen In fact, pretty much any draught bitter from a real pub back home! Out here I've grown partial to Sweetwater 420. I like it because it doesn't try to be something that it's not. It goes for it's own unique flavour and works well. Sam Adams beer isn't up to much after trying the real fresh stuff. There's nothing better than returning from a successful or unsuccessful morning's finishing trip to a pint of fresh bass, a bacon, sausage and cheese bap, and sit on the waterfront putting the world to rights. Fuck I miss England!!
i love shiner bock. close favs are yuengling, newcastle and PBR. i drink icehouse tallboys when i'm lookin for getting sloshed though
My top 5 in no order: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Flying Dog Pale Ale Redhook ESB Full Sail Amber Pilsner Urquell There are many others, but these 5 span the gamut of my needs. Of course the occasional Guinness and/or Beamish on those cold winter nights with a shepherds pie...
Yuegling (how the hell do you spell it?) is absolutely delicious on tap. I hate it in the bottle/can.
