Ok so I attempted to swap my tranny fluid today and I ran into the BOLT FROM HELL. I am not sure what happened the last time it was installed, but I think they may have welded the damn thing in! I have yet to not be able to get a bolt to break loose (or twist off in place) but this one is just ridiculous!! I tried hitting it with some PB blaster, getting an extension for the ratchet, everything and to no avail. I guess I am going to have to take it somewhere that has air hammers unless someone has a suggestion.

Humungo breaker bar usually solves everything...just make sure you dont round it off :)

Make sure you're using craftsman tools! If they break, take'em back :p

I broke a 1/2in ratchet doing my timing belt in my accord. (using a HUGE 10ft breaker bar)
Sears was 5 minutes away and I had a replacement in a heartbeat :)

Well it seems there is a larger problem...tranny was whining tonight and I checked the fluid level and I had just topped it off earlier today. It was way low again...thinking I have a seal leak or something.

Well found out today that the tranny is fubared. The front seal for the input shaft is bad. Not what I wanted to hear.

None now, lol. After finding out my tranny is spewing fluid, there is not much sense in changing the fluid, it gets recycled monthly now, lmao. The whole reason I brought it up to your guys is when I was under there trying to change it, I noticed all the tranny fluid leaked everywhere and thought it might be a good idea to have you guys check it out. Now it seems I need $1300-$2200 worth of work done to it.

Buy a tranny and do the work yourself. Installing it isn't that bad if you have one or two friends to help you. That will probably save you at least a 1000 in labor. Sorry about the break down though man. Its sad watching the bugeyes go.

That is the bad part...it is running like nothing is wrong now that the tranny is full, but I gotta keep a watch on the fluid level. It just sucks having to get a new tranny when this one drives fine. I guess I will keep adding fluid and keep a watch on nasioc
