My stepfather has a 1989 Nissan pickup that is simply a piece. It has been through just about anything you can think of. The paints all faded and the rails on the bed are rusting. Dents here and there and all....just your typical high mileage work truck.

SR20DET swap anyone? Keep it looking like crap = one heck of a sleeper.

    Should I do it?

You could be like the guy at the scca events that runs a time-only pickup :D

It's been done before. Imagine shaving all of the handles, slamming the truck, and then having a 350HP SR20 under the hood.

I've definately got the hookups on just about anything Nissan related. SR20DET's, RB26DETT's, etc....;)

We have the hookup as well. We have 3 SR20det's in the shop waiting for a home. I thought it would be fun as hell.

I think imma just see about getting it for a daily beater and mod the hell outta the subie.....lol

If your talking about the VW Pickup, he is only driving that because last year, on the way home from Points event 7 or so, he got rear ended in his VW Rabbit and the car is totalled. He is still trying to figure out what to do, but he is a hard core Auto Xer, and doesn't want to miss an event.
