Ok now that im stage 2 i feel the need for more then a boost guage and i cant make up my mind what i want i know i dont want to spend 1000 on guages and pods any ideas all i need is the boost egt and oil. its going in a 03 so i kinda want it to match.
I think Defi makes gauges that match, but youll prolly spend close to a grand on all that. Im not too sure of a cheap solution man
most inexspensive solution would be autometer...check out the cobalts http://store.yahoo.com/machv/autcobairmet.html and the nexus line
If you need a gauge-pod, I have one that goes in place of the clock and houses three 52mm gauges. I believe the auto-meter gauges are 52mm. Let me know if you want it, I'll just give it away. That should be cheep enough.
get the carbon fiber 3 gauge pod that goes were the clock does. It looks sick. maybee some carbon fiber autometer gauges, or the cobalts are really sweet and the nexus.
ecutek data monitor!! its the pimp shit not bad for $750..it includes all gauges and more..plugs right into the obd port so it sees what your ecu sees
I believe these are what I've got. Autometers with a silver surround, black face, and a red needle. Match pretty well with the stock gauges. I've got mine in a hacked up OEM clock replacement gauge pod with some sort of new 52mm gauge faceplate.
is there any option of a different color for the DD/Ecutek Data Monitor? The PSI3 SECS data monitor is in a nice shade of black with blue buttons and looks a lot better in the interior IMO. Visually I think the Ecutek one just clashes too much with the rest of the interior. For a race car I wouldnt mind, but in my daily driver I like to have the interior match a bit.
I dont think there is a color option, but I do believe you could open it up and change the led over ? Also, you could always repaint the housing to match appropriately
I want two more gauges and I'll be set... currently have boost and oil temp, want EGT and wideband O2. Keep in mind that the Ecutek monitor, while certainly pimpin' enough, gets the EGT input from the poorly placed sensor in the uppipe... which might not even be there if you go to an aftermarket one, and is pretty far from the exhaust port anyway.
