Time for a new Turbo?

So on my way to work this morning I am on 85 and I start hearing this noise that I thought was static coming from my radio. I just installed a pioneer nav unit yesterday so I figured I just messed up something there. Well, that was wrong. I turn off the radio and it sounds like my wastegate has diarrhea. :eek4: I checked my gauge and I am not getting any boost. There were no CELs thrown. I have not gotten a chance to get under the car to check for shaft play yet, but I am pretty sure it is time for a new turbo.

I am running a VF39 on the stock 2.0L on an '03 WRX. I am pretty sure I am going to get it replaced with another VF39 unless someone can convince me to buy something else. I was real happy with the the 39 power levels (and the respectable gas consumption because of the lag). Any suggestions on a different setup? Any suggestions on where to take it? I am looking at TopSpeed, Batlground and Lethal Injection at the moment...

    Thanks for your help!

Wow, well it look like I called wolf here. Mike (Liquidforce) just stopped by to take a look at my car during his lunch break. In about 10 minutes he found my EGT sensor had backed out and fallen out of my up pipe. Problem solved.

Mad props to Mike! I guess I will do more work before I freak out next time...

Thanks Matt! But, when the time comes for there to be REAL work done on my car, I think I will call Lethal Injection. I have heard nothing but good things about. Them.

Hah, I am still getting used to having a boosted car!
